Bishop’s breaks ground on $16M residence building

posted on May 13, 2021

Bishop’s University has announced that it is breaking ground on a new $16M residence building. The 93-room building will be completed by Fall 2022 and will replace the existing Mackinnon residence building. The new residence building will have increased shared spaces for students, including a communal kitchen, a gathering room, study rooms and lounges, yoga rooms, and a multimedia room. “Although the buildings themselves and living arrangements have undergone significant changes throughout the ages, living in residence has always been a key part of the Bishop’s experience,” explains Bishop’s Principal Michael Goldbloom. “This latest project follows the renovations of the Abbott, Kuehner and Munster residences in recent years.”
